Weit weg ist näher, als du denkst.
Tupo pamoja! [Wir gehören zusammen] - Solidarität weltweit!
Mit dieser afrikanischen Redewendung "Wir gehören zusammen", in vielen Ländern Afrikas kurz: "Tupo pamoja" (Kisuaheli) geschrieben, greifen die Caritas-Konferenzen Deutschlands e. V. - Das Netzwerk von Ehrenamtlichen die Inhalte der aktuellen Caritas Jahreskampagne 2014 für die ehrenamtliche Arbeit auf.
Wir gehören zusammen, ganz gleich, in welchem Land zur Welt gekommen, egal, ob in einer armen oder reichen Familie geboren, unabhängig davon, welche Hautfarbe, Religion oder Sprache uns ausmacht, gleichgültig ob Jung oder Alt. Wir sind alle Menschen und ein Teil einer Schöpfung.
Auch wenn wir dies nicht gerne hören: Unsere bisherigen technischen Errungenschaften führten dazu, dass wir in den reichen Industrienationen mit unserer Art zu leben aus der Balance geraten sind. Würden alle Menschen auf der Welt so leben wie wir hier in Deutschland, bräuchten wir laut unserem ökologischen Fußabdruck insgesamt knapp drei Erden. Da wir natürlich nur eine Erde haben, ist unser aktueller Lebensstil und der einiger anderen Nationen weder nachhaltig noch fair.
Damit wir im weltweiten Vergleich gesehen unseren Luxus-Lebensstil pflegen können, müssen anderen Ortes Menschen dafür leiden. Denken Sie an die vielen Kleinbauern, die enteignet wurden, um industriell Futter- und Energiepflanzen für die reichen Industrienationen zu produzieren. Denken Sie an die vielen Flächen zur Baumwollproduktion für die in Ausbeutungsbetrieben unter menschenunwürdigen Bedingungen produzierten Textilien.
Oder denken Sie an die Verschiffung von Elektroschrott in arme Länder wie Ghana, der die Menschen dort und ihre Umgebung vergiftet beim Gewinnen der darin enthaltenen Rohstoffe. Und dies sind lediglich drei Auswirkungen unserer aktuellen Art zu leben.
Wir gehören zusammen bedeutet Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Verantwortung nicht nur für sich oder die eigene Familie, sondern in einer globalisierten Welt wie unserer, auch für das Leben von Menschen in und aus anderen Ländern, die aufgrund unserer Kaufentscheidungen und unseren politischen Entscheidungen leiden müssen.
